Who We Are

The Kingston Heritage Ambassadors Project came to be in 2010, under the direction of designer and local history enthusiast Eva Barnes. The aim was
to develop a team of volunteers dedicated to visually enhancing
historically themed special events and ceremonies, upon invitation.
Kingston (Ontario, Canada) celebrates a rich and colourful past.

Members of the HAOK:

  • have a passion for history
  • own authentically styled period attire, custom-created for public appearances
  • enjoy teaching, and inspiring an interest in days gone by

Many members of this group research, design and create their own historical ensembles.
Inquiries about professional historical design consultation
and the staging of exhibits are welcomed.
